After Hours Pediatrics offering $1500 sign on bonus! 



The Radiology Tech performs a variety of duties to accommodate and support After Hours Pediatrics clinical staff in the provision of pediatric client care.  Performs clinical orders in a timely and accurate manner adhering to all regulatory requirements. 


  • Represents After Hours Pediatrics by displaying a respectful and caring manner wfor pediatric patients and their families.  Independently problem solves and utilizes resources to obtain patient information when patient is unable to communicate.  Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
  • Coordinates and participates in a variety of patient care activities in the treatment of pediatric patients to include: assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, using standard equipment; records data for medical record.
  • Prepares pediatric patients for examination and treatment assisting clinicians where appropriate
  • Prepare and set up medical supplies, instruments and equipment for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Maintain work area in clean and orderly condition; set up, clean and disinfect examination rooms; monitor and ensure appropriate inventory of medical supplies in rooms; replenish as required.
  • Complies with quality assurance, HIPAA, customer service, infection control, safety, and workers compensation guidelines and other policies as set forth.
  • Interacts calmly, respectfully and in a friendly manner with other representatives of services at After Hours Pediatrics.  Assists in clerical duties as needed, functioning as a member of the health care team. 
  • Translates providers orders into appropriate x-ray procedures
  • Prepares and positions pediatric patient correctly for each examination
  • Operates x-ray equipment to make radiographs for designated portions of the body.
  • Selects, identifies and exposes films for digital viewing
  • Maintains a clean, safe and orderly work area ensuring the patient radiology room is kept neat and clean and stocked with supplies
  • Utilizes radiology computer system to enter data, technical factors and all coding information.
  • When available, clean and disinfect examination rooms; monitor and ensure appropriate inventory of medical supplies in examination rooms; replenish as required
  • Escort and/or transport patients to examination room and other clinic locations.
  • Complies with quality assurance, HIPAA, customer focus, infection control, safety and other policies as set forth.
  • Contributes to patient care through patient and family education, distributing resource literature and community service recommendations and referrals as needed.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
  • Interacts calmly, respectfully and in a friendly manner with other representatives of services at After Hours Pediatrics. Refers patients to proper resources for After Hours Pediatrics policies such as billing support.
  • Assists in clerical duties as needed, functioning as a member of the health care team.
  • Performs various laboratory testing, daily controls and additional duties as needed.
  • Participate in development and implementation of general policies and procedures to provide for the physical and emotional comfort and safety of patients.
  • Maintains competence through continuing education and in-service training.
  • Other duties as assigned and requested.
  • Attendance and being on time, ready to work your scheduled hours is an essential job requirement.


Job Requirements


  • Graduation from an accredited school of Radiology Technology with at least two (2) years pediatric clinical experience in radiology
  • Florida State license in Radiologic Technology
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Ability to read and interpret radiographic exam requisitions, technical procedures and medical terminology
  • Patient assessment skills


  • Ability to perform patient intake and document problems appropriately, seeking guidance as needed
  • High degree of verbal communication and interpersonal skills to determine needs, provide information, instruct, and provide emotional support
  • Working knowledge of general office equipment including fax and copy machines, multi-line phone system, and personal computer
  • Ability to address and resolve conflict in a professional manner
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Ability to be flexible

  • Job performed in a well-lighted, modern office setting.
  • Almost continuous noise inherent to the scanning equipment.
  • Moderate physical effort, including assistance to the disabled patient in transfers to and from wheelchairs, exam tables, bathroom etc.
  • May be required to assist in lifting patients more than one-hundred (100) pounds
  • Associated health risks related to patient exposure including body fluids and needles
  • Possible exposure to radiation related to x-ray procedures
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels
  • Occasional cold temperatures in working area related to equipment maintenance
  • Occasional standing/bending
  • Prolonged standing periods

This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week
