Job Description

This position is responsible for provider compensation contract management and completing payroll for companies as assigned. The Provider Compensation specialist is responsible for entering all necessary data into payroll software, receiving and reviewing system generated reports, gathering and preparing all
incoming pay data, setting up and calculating new recurring compensation variables, reviewing and analyzing data, and compiling the final documentation required to be saved for audit and backup.



  • Setting up recurring payments and direct deposit
  • Gathering and preparing pay data for entry
  • Entering pay data into payroll software
  • Reviewing corporate payroll reports
  • Managing banking functions to include mailing of live checks and validating direct deposits
  • Interpreting contract language
  • Validate complex calculations
  • Compiling backup for audit and SOX compliance
  • Reviewing and analyzing worked hours
  • Receiving and preparing off cycle pay requests
  • Closing books for Independent Contractors
  • Reconciling 1099’s


Job Requirements


  • Associate’s Degree preferred; or 5+ years equivalent work
    experience in accounting, bookkeeping or payroll
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles required
    FPC or CPP preferred but not required
  • Experience with payroll software preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Excel (Pivot Table, Vlookups and advanced formulas)
  • Good decision-making and judgment skills
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must be able to work under pressure meeting critical deadlines
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
