Job Description

Essential Functions

This position is charged with the development, execution, oversight, management and liaison work related to TeamHealth’s efforts to provide high quality Scribe support for our clinicians and to ensure Scribe vendor effectiveness. While this position reports into Operations Support, collaboration with the EM Chief Clinical Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Group leaders and Corporate Finance is key to a successful Scribe program. This leader position has a real opportunity to positively impact patient care, clinician experience and clinician productivity.

  • Develop a strong understanding and engagement with the Groups to define and measure Scribe service needs and the ability to which the Scribe vendor is delivering on such needs.
  • In particular, understand hot spots where unfilled shifts are occurring, proactively plan for growth and hold Scribe vendor accountable for development of realistic action plans and delivery of results.
  • Support Scribe program activities by working w/ the field and Scribe vendor to answer questions and address issues.
  • Continually assess and focus on process improvements and automation that will lead to increased clinician satisfaction, a solid understanding of vendor KPIs, analytics for decision making, program expense management and overall program performance.
  • Work with appropriate leadership like the EM Chief Clinical Officer to establish program policies.
  • In collaboration with group and corporate finance/accounting partners, support efforts to ensure adequate processes and controls related to cost-sharing expenses to clinicians, vendor invoice reconciliation/payment, vendor contract adherence and budget development/projections.
  • Partner with Shift Admin Operations Support team and IT to develop automation related to real-time inventory of and easy identification of opt in/opt out clinicians/sites, subsidy sites, etc.
  • Identify, develop and distribute reports/scorecards incorporating external vendor and internal program data for program management, decision making and success toward patient care and clinician satisfaction.
  • Hardwire techniques to effectively support and establish “early warning” signs related to this multi-state, multi-site program.
  • Participate in Merger & Acquisition integration activities as relates to Scribes.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in business related field; MBA preferable
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years in healthcare and/or vendor management
  • Strong proficiency working with Excel and developing/manipulating spreadsheets
