JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

This position works directly with the Director of Clinician Coding Quality Assurance (CCQA), to support the ongoing functions within the CCQA programs.  The CCQA Department executes twice annual audits and other quality reviews of Teamhealth clinicians who code their own encounters. The CCQA Coordinator understands the various CCQA processes and can research, advise and assist internal customers about program expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Weekly processing of failed CPTs for bill code change.  Running process, communication with the billing department and verifying changes.
  • Weekly communication of chart escalations to Operations.
  • Weekly communication of unbillable charts.
  • Responsible for overseeing the Clinician escalation process. Reports, releasing and all communication to assist CDEs.
  • Participates in data validation to ensure there are no gaps in any clinician’s QA cycle
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:     

  • Bachelor’s degree or (5) five years related experience
  • Health care experience preferred but not required
  • Strong computer skills with intermediate skill level in Excel
  • Ability to organize and manage many electronic files (Excel, PDFs etc.) across many shared drives
  • Attention to accuracy and details will be critical for success
  • Ability to work with minimal direction/supervision
  • Resourcefulness, ingenuity, strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
