Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW 

The Practice Support Coordinator (PSC1) is responsible in supporting the front and mid office functions.  The PSC1 will have a noticeable presence in handling incoming calls, administratively supporting field staff, order and maintain supplies, process mail and faxes, assemble documents and other miscellaneous duties as assigned. The PSC1 will work with Clinicians, the Office Operations Manager, the Vice President of Operations (VPO) and the Clinical Practice Managers (CPM) to ensure completion and efficiency of the office administrative support functions. 

The Practice Support Coordinator 1 will report to the Office/Operations Manager. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Administratively support the Clinicians, CPMs and VPOs
  • Answer telephones in a timely, courteous and professional manner
  • Assist with preparation of paperwork for various duties
  • Prepare conference room for meetings, as needed
  • Assemble documents for team members
  • Manage mail, supplies and faxes
  • Maintain customer confidence by keeping information confidential

 

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of two years of customer relations experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology a plus
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Commitment to excellence in customer service – with internal and external clients
  • Health experience preferred but not required
  • Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations and confidential information.
  • Position requires sensitivity, diplomacy and good judgement
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Professional mannerism and appearance
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, Microsoft Office)
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

  • Job performed in a well-lighted, modern office setting
  • Occasional lifting/carrying (10 pounds or less)
  • Prolonged sitting; with prolonged work in a computer/PC
  • Office-based position with rare or no travel required
