Position Overview 

The Patient Services Representative is responsible for answering incoming patient calls and correspondence and managing issues through resolution.

Essential Functions

  • Process patient calls in a timely manner, update accounts as necessary, and work toward resolution of issues
  • Process incoming forms and correspondence
  • Support the National Patient Support Center, taking appropriate action on claims
  • Process information received from insurance carriers and take necessary action
  • Responsible for collection communications with collection agencies
  • Process Charity Cares for all billing areas
  • Process bankruptcy letters
  • Other duties as assigned


Job Requirements

Qualifications / Experience 

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience in medical billing preferred
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand basic insurance billing policies and procedures
  • Must be able to type 35 WPM and 8,000 KPH with 95% accuracy
