Job Description

We are looking for a Patient Registration Representative to enter patient and health insurance information into our electronic medical records system.

This is the ideal opportunity for someone fresh out of Medical Billing school or someone with 6 months of experience handling Medical Records.

Team members that have started in this role with us have gone on to become Medical Billers, Coders, or Supervisors. 

This role is In-Office at our West Hills, 91304 Campus.

The Patient Registration Rep is responsible for the resolution of pre-billing edits, and registration data entry. The Patient Registration Rep preps daily reports via Excel for their assigned region(s) to resolve unbilled encounters. The position works in a cooperative team environment to provide value to customers (internal and external). 


  • Responsible for resolving unbilled encounters through pre-billing reports. Not limited to the following: TES Edits, Exceptions, Rejections and Claim Edits
  • Responsible for reviewing and coding face sheet accruals based on TeamHealth FSC Guide into the system and maintaining those files on an ongoing basis
  • Responsible for registering patients through our OnBase Unity Client. OnBase Workflow is comprised of queues that guide the processing of batches and patient charts documents through specific departments to complete the billing process.
  • Quality checking data of face sheets that are entered through the systems or the data that is being reviewed/corrected prior to claim submission
  • Matches patient demographic and insurance information to their respective accounts and assures all information has been verified and current
  • Has complete understanding and working knowledge of navigating payer websites
  • Responsible for all daily productivity reporting requirements
  • Maintains and exceeds department standards for productivity and quality

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Some billing experience or graduation from vocational medical billing college
  • Demonstrated success working in a team environment focused on meeting organization goals and objectives is necessary
  • Knowledge of pre-billing standards and systems

Competitive Compensation, with an estimated salary range of $17.02 / hr to $18.00.
