The TeamHealth Akron, OH Billing Center is currently recruiting for an Medical Billing Trainer.

JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

The Medical Billing (IDX) Trainer has the overall responsibility for the orientation and training of all newly hired employees, as well as remedial training for employees whose QA exceeds 5% or whose production goals have not been met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review of departmental policies and procedures for all newly hired employees
  • Conduct Medical Billing application training and/or retraining in the following applications:
    • IDX BAR and PCS
    • MRTS
    • VBX
    • OnBase
  • Assist managers and supervisors in development of training and retraining guides
  • Oversee security access following all polices and procedures,
    maintain security changes and as quarterly reports
  • Distribute new policies and procedures to management and staff and maintain policy acknowledgement database
  • Assist Corporate Training Director with development of training materials for new programs and procedures
  • Assist with departmental production as directed by the Vice President
  • Assist with new software policy and procedure development
  • Special projects as directed by Vice President

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficiency in medical billing software
  • Demonstrated knowledge of physician billing and healthcare reimbursement
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in physician billing management
  • Minimum high school diploma. BS or BA preferred or equivalent of
    management/supervisory experience in physician billing related field.
  • Ability to prioritize workload to meet scheduled deadlines
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good analytical skills
  • Strong PC skills
  • Mandatory overtime as directed by Management
