JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

Responsible for new business development, account management, staffing, and logistical coordination of provider engagements. Partnering with D&Y Sales & Recruiting Leadership to plan for market penetration and to identify resources needed for successful execution of such marketing plans. Responsible for the financial performance of behavioral health service line to budget expectations.

 

Manager, Behavioral Health Responsibilities:

  • Engage with D&Y sales leadership in strategic planning and market analysis to ensure long term specialty growth that meets organizational goals for commercial behavioral health.
  • Promotes a high energy sales environment.
  • Achieve growth to reaching and exceeding the specialty budget.
  • Execute inside & outside sales strategies in order to procure new client agreements.
  • Partners with Business Development Director as applicable to engage prospective client leadership to procure new client contracts.
  • Collaborate with D&Ys marketing team to attract prospective clients via social media, trade shows, networking events, and other areas as identified.
  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership on price evaluation to gain competitive advantage in the market place. Balance margin and volume considerations to support achieving the specialty budget.
  • Maintain accurate engagement records of prospective clients and sales pipelines within company CRM for tracking of monthly results to performance of sales activity metrics.
  • Perform as the single point of contact with clients, achieving consistent communication, managed expectations, and quality of service control. Identifies opportunities within the client organization to improve efficiencies and effectiveness. Works to resolve conflict resolution and relationship management with clients and with providers regarding quality of service issues related to the client.
  • Develop strategies to source (Identify), qualify, and present providers who meet the client’s criteria. This would include licensing out of state prospects, credentialing secondary candidates, etc. Maintain records within the CRM for tracking monthly results in terms of the identification of providers, pipeline management, and scheduling.
  • Coordinates with D&Y Credentialing the securing of materials necessary for the provider to receive hospital privileges by specified start date.
  • Coordinates with D&Y Travel logistical support for the provider to reach& return from the assignment and provide living accommodations while on assignment.
  • Coordinates with D&Y scheduling the provider/client schedule maximizing providers monthly days worked.
  • Responsible for achieving monthly KPI (key performance indicator) requirements on a consistent basis. This to include making 50-60 outbound phone calls each day.
  • Prepares business reports as requested by Sales Management.
  • Performs special projects and other duties as needed that may be assigned by Sales Management.

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:      

  • Four year college degree in business administration or related field and/or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in the behavioral health segment of the healthcare industry required.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience in account management-related role, desired.
  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience of direct healthcare staffing experience in the locum tenens industry desired.
  • Excellent computer skills with intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Word and Excel and an ability to learn new computer applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Excellent judgment/decision making skills.

  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to negotiate with various levels of client leadership to achieve successful business outcomes.

PHYSICAL / ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Job is performed in a remote environment.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.
  • Moderate bending and standing.
  • Prolonged sitting.
  • Extensive telephone usage.
  • Extensive work with computer/PC.
  • Moderate to high level of stress.
  • Travel as required for business purposes (approximately 10-20%).
  • This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, fax, etc.) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
