Job Description

This position is responsible for providing internal management reporting and analysis to the post-acute service. Partners with operations team to provide analytic decision support.


  • Supports service line budgeting/forecasting process
  • Coordinates monthly and quarterly operations review process with VPOs and RMDs
  • Prepares financial reporting, variance analysis and forecasting activities for service line MOR and QBR
  • Performs revenue review and analysis
  • Performs analysis and develops pro formas for new business opportunities
  • Interfaces with the operations team to support performance initiatives and corresponding measurable indicators for use in tracking performance
  • Manages service line administrative support staff incentive compensation programs
  • Completes special projects as needed in support of service line initiatives
  • Manages monthly close process to ensure accurate and timely close
  • Responsible for accurate and timely financial statements for the service line
  • Establishes and maintains an effective and efficient system of controls ensuring adherence to corporate policies and governmental regulations (eg GAAP, FASB, Sarbanes-Oxley, and requirements of other applicable regulatory bodies)
  • Oversees PAC accounting, contract revenue and clinician compensation teams
  • Reviews documents, including contracts, to identify accounting issues and propose solutions or alternatives
  • Enhances accounting, contract revenue and clinician compensation processes to optimize accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
  • Develops the talents and expertise of staff; recruits and retains a diverse staff of well-qualified and high-performing professionals


Job Requirements

  • Bachelors or masters in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA designation preferred
  • 5-8 years accounting experience, public accounting preferred
  • Familiarity with the healthcare industry desirable
  • Excellent computer skills particularly spreadsheet analysis
  • Excellent financial and operational analysis skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to rapid change
  • Excellent judgment/decision making skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
