Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for selling TeamHealth’s services to prospective hospital clients by identifying target prospects, qualifying the prospects, coordinating the entire sales process and successfully closing the sale.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and delivers sales/marketing presentations for the organization
  • Motivates inside sales team to secure face-to-face client meetings
  • Leads and directs the inside sales team function within the region of responsibility
  • Builds stake holder value through successful closing of sales initiatives
  • Leads and directs the proposal development process
  • Responsible for strategic planning within region of responsibility
  • Uncovers client needs and presents TeamHealth’s solutions
  • Attends meetings related to corporate development, strategic planning and executive operations
  • Attends trade shows to market and represent the company
  • Works with key operations personnel to construct a well-defined client target list
  • Other duties as assigned by management

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field
  • Two or more years health care sales experience interacting with C-suite executives, thorough understanding of the hospital market
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions desired but not required
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent problem-solving/decision-making and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Strong proficiency working with spreadsheets and pro-forma development
  • Ability to handle stress and conflict
  • Ability to travel frequently and as needed

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages inside sales team

PHYSICAL / ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Job performed in a well-lit, modern office setting
  • Frequent travel (overnight and out of town)
  • Occasional lifting (25 pounds or less)
  • Occasional standing
  • Moderate to high stress
  • Prolonged hours of work (evening and weekend)
  • Prolonged telephone use
  • Prolonged sitting

This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, and fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
