JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

The Contracts Manager is responsible for the daily supervision of the Contracts Specialists, quality preparation and execution of all required legal documents for employee providers and independent contractors and facilitation of the facility contract from origination to renewal to termination. The manager maintains all data related to legal entities at both the Facility and Provider level and will communicate updates to all relevant parties. Responsible for maintaining the Facility Compensation Matrix and conducting quality assurance checks throughout the contracting process.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage, direct and support department in all matters pertaining to contracting
- Initiate and direct the entire facility contracting process
- Creates and maintains Facility Compensation Matrix
- Creates and maintains facility specific contract documents/letters
- Attends frequent meetings related to the start/maintenance/termination of          facility contracts
- Coordinates the communication and data entry of facility contract information
- Liaison between Legal, Finance, Accounting, Recruiting, Payroll and Human          Resources
- Quality assurance checks
- Review and adhere to standard metrics

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

- Associates Degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of two years of experience with contracts, legal documents or other    health care related work; Management experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to communicate effectively with Providers, Medical Directors and VPOs
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage              multiple projects
- Ability to meet challenging deadlines
- Ability to work in a team environment

- Job performed in a well-lighted, modern office setting
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and after-hours as needed with access to      appropriate technology
- Occasional travel by plane and/or car
- Occasional lifting/carrying (10 pounds or less)

- Prolonged telephone use

This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, and fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
