JOB OVERVIEW 

This position is primarily responsible for ensuring that all standard and negotiated managed care contracts are loaded timely and accurately. Key functions include preparing reimbursement calculations from reviewing standard fee schedules and communicating effectively with Managed Care and Billing Center teams to support all requests submitted. This position is also required to review and research over and underallowed variances to ensure contract terms are loaded correctly in the Payer Contracts Module.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure all necessary and required information is submitted for managed care contract loading; executed agreements, amendments, payor emails, fee schedules.
  • Specialize in the loading and research of anesthesia managed care contracts.
  • Submit loading forms through Onbase software.
  • Update IDX/GE - including Contract Maintenance, Pricing Module, and Payer Contracts Module.
  • Compile fee schedule download reports used to prepare the reimbursement based on government fee schedules.
  • Research underallowed and overallowed contract variances.
  • Participate in biweekly / monthly conference calls with Managed Care and Billing Centers.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a medical billing or office environment preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal direction/supervision.
• Self-starter with desire to learn new systems and skills.
• Analytical, focused, organized.
• Skilled in time management and problem solving.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Word and MS Office 2010.
• Intermediate Excel skills required.
• IDX/GE software knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, challenging work environment.
