JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

This position works directly with the Director of Clinician Coding Quality Assurance, to develop and maintain, CCQA data, databases and processes.  This role is to become a subject matter expert in QA data and play a vital role in the eventual transition to a new enterprise front end tool.  Primary responsibilities include the development of new database processes as well as maintaining current processes. The CCQA Business Analyst understands the QA data and can advise various users on process expectations. The Business Analyst owns the CCQA data and assists in determining action plans to support new and developing requirements of the program.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform maintenance and modifications to the QA database to include, modifying queries and reports.
  • Reverse engineers already existing processes to understand how they work and make modifications.
  • Develop new reports resulting from changes in business needs.
  • On demand troubleshooting for 30 + end users.
  • Engage in ongoing data validation and data scrubbing.
  • Identifies possible data issues and develops plans for solutions.
  • Organizes reports and related documents, maintaining proper version control.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:      

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, management sciences, programing or related field.
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in corporate or operational reporting/analysis.
  • Must be proficient in designing Microsoft Access tables, queries, forms, macros and databases.
  • Experience with MS Access properties on tables, reports and forms.
  • Experience with relational databases. (Understanding, building and maintaining).
  • Proficient at creating Excel spread sheets, using formulas, pivot tables, filters, groups.
  • Proficient at creating reports in Microsoft Access and Excel.
  • Experience in reading and execution of basic VBA for MS Access.
  • Must have excellent critical thinking as well as the ability to explore and discover processes independently.
  • Requires interpreting simple VB code, following Marcos and complex series of queries and rules that drive processes.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Tableau software a plus.
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and technical skills.
  • Impeccable attention to detail when following set instructions and reviewing reports for accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (both orally and written), particularly the ability to explain complex data analyses in easy to understand terms.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work well with others, and work with minimal direction/supervision.
  • Resourcefulness, ingenuity, strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
