The Billing System Support Coordinator is responsible for initiating, maintaining, and resolving issues with ERA/EFT enrollments, in conjunction with the Waystar team at IDX Maintenance, Payers, Provider Enrollment, and Patient Accounts. This includes invoice researching of problems pertaining to patient invoices, reviewing, and correcting weekly department edits accomplished through analytical reporting, providing solutions and training, and working with payers for an expedient and sufficient resolution to EDI issues. The Billing System Support Coordinator works the associated OnBase tickets related to ERA. The Representative carries out his/her duties by adhering to the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct in the best interest of TeamHealth.


  • Once registered for a website, the Billing System Support Coordinator will set up and maintain the websites utilized for EMC/ERA/EFT enrollment (PaySpan, CAQH, InstaMed, etc.) and also be responsible for completing the EMC/ERA/EFT enrollments.
  • Configure and analyze Manual Posting and Non-Reconciled Deposit reports to determine future enrollments.
  • Coordinate with depository teams on test deposits.
  • Communicate with Waystar Support on new EMC/ERA Exchanges needed for new entities and any linkage that may be needed.
  • Coordinate with Waystar Support at IDX Maintenance on missing ERA’s to assist Patient Accounts.
  • Generate queries and informatics reports as needed.
  • Assist IDX Coordinator Supervisor or mailbox as needed.
  • Maintain assigned email box at 5 days.
  • Perform any and all duties as directed by management.


Job Requirements


  • A minimum of two to three years of computer experience with knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Zoom.
  • Two to three years of billing experience with knowledge of insurance analysis, denial, and collections processes within a multi-facility environment.
  • Working knowledge of insurance carriers’ payment regulations including various reimbursement schemes, coinsurance, deductibles and contractual adjustments is necessary as well as significant working knowledge of the insurance process, denials, appeals, and insurance eligibility.
  • Working knowledge of OnBase.
  • Always presents in a professional manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and accuracy.
  • Must use good judgment and reasoning skills.
  • Must be flexible, independent, and able to meet deadlines without direct supervision.
  • Requires being able to work in a close team environment participating and contributing constructively to produce results in a cooperative effort.
  • Requires being able to deal with management team as well as other interdepartmental companies.
  • Performance of other non-essential duties may be requested.

Competitive Compensation, with an estimated salary range of $21.33/hr to $29.86/hr.
