Job Description




This position is responsible for assisting the VP of Finance in financial analysis, accounting close functions, MOR (monthly operational reporting) preparation, pro forma development, projections and other finance and accounting responsibilities necessary for the success of the Region.




  • Works closely with all team members to ensure timely accumulation, preparation, completeness, analysis, support and dissemination of financial information relating to:
    • Proformas
    • Projections
    • Budgeting
    • MOR (Monthly Operating Reporting) reporting and
    • Other cycles that effect the Finance department that require attention.
  • Conducts analysis and interprets statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.


  • Review the monthly close process to ensure the completeness of data and understanding of financial results from a facility by facility, System and Region standpoint.
  • To ensure the accounting methodology applied is in accordance with accounting concepts, techniques, principles and GAAP.
  • Respond to VP of Finance as assigned with accurate and timely performance of assigned tasks to facilitate financial management requirements.
  • Manage and participate in a wide variety of special projects.
  • Lead team meetings, as necessary, to resolve open questions and/or concerns related to specific assigned tasks
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Assist Operational Leadership in the financial administration of assigned contracts
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions


Job Requirements

  • B.S./B.A. in Accounting/Finance, or related field
  • CPA License Preferred
  • Five (8-10) years of related experience – healthcare experience a plus
  • Public and Industry experience is preferred
  • Advanced computer skills (spreadsheet, database management, word-processing)
  • Proficient with financial systems applications – experience with Oracle, Hyperion, Essbase applications a plus
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent judgment/decision making skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must assume responsibility for accuracy and timeliness of work product – attention to detail is essential
