Job Description


This position provides administrative and functional support to TeamHealth’s growth and development areas, reporting to the VP, Mergers & Acquisitions. The person selected for this position must be able to demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and organization skills while dealing with confidential information.


  • Performs word processing and transcription support including letters, memos and other correspondence by preparing, drafting, writing and editing related documents.
  • Serves as a contact point including answering and receiving phone calls, sorting and directing incoming/outgoing correspondence, interacting and communicating with management and staff of TeamHealth, officers, vendors, outside contacts, etc.
  • Coordinates with Corporate Travel Office travel arrangements and accommodations
  • Manages expense reports for leadership and department timesheets
  • Performs calendar maintenance, resolves scheduling conflicts and coordinates with other Executive Assistants; schedules, plans and coordinates meetings and prints related materials
  • Coordinates on site and off site meetings including conference arrangements, equipment, reservations, agendas, materials, catering needs, etc., as appropriate
  • Completes various projects such as preparing reports, spreadsheets, organization charts, etc.; communicates information requests and project status to management
  • Provides telephone receptionist duties on a regularly scheduled basis
  • Performs office management functions including payroll time submission, department invoicing, ordering / maintaining office supplies/equipment and distributing department mail.
  • Coordinates and assists with special projects, when needed.
  • Participates as a professional, responsible, cooperative administrative team member


Job Requirements


  • Associate’s degree or two years of college education with emphasis in administrative, business, or related work experience;
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of related administrative experience, preferably in an executive management capacity;
  • Strong computer skills with intermediate skill level in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (word processing, spreadsheet, tables, graphs), e-mail and Internet research;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; professional demeanor with ability to interact with executive management;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines;
  • Ability to handle confidential information;
  • Ability to adapt to change;
  • Good problem-solving/decision making skills;
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written, with emphasis on grammatical skills);
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to support multiple persons with minimal direction/supervision
  • Ability to work in team oriented environment.
