This position has the opportunity to work remotely.  Training will be in office.  Once up and running will be able to move to remote. Does require one week in office every 6th week.

JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

The Accounts Payable Specialist’s responsibility is to perform all aspects of the multi-company accounts payable function for TeamHealth, Inc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primarily ensures accurate and timely entry of invoices into Lawson
  • Audits and reviews employee expense reimbursements for accuracy, adherence to company and IRS guidelines using Concur
  • Answers all vendor questions
  • Prepares checklists to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Prepares and processes check requests
  • Reconciles payment discrepancies
  • Researches outstanding checks
  • Understands sales and use tax basics and apply knowledge
  • Tracks and distributes checks that need special handling
  • Facilitates the accounts payable process to new acquisitions of TeamHealth Inc.
  • Maintains scanning of accounts payable and ensures accuracy validation, prior to disposal of original documentation
  • Assists in monthly closing
  • Assists in 1099 preparation
  • Performs special projects as assigned

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma required, college accounting/finance courses preferred
  • 3-5 years high volume, multi-company accounts payable experience
  • Lawson Software and Concur experience, a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, analytical and data entry skills
  • Professional, detail oriented individual
  • Exceptional work ethic
  • Intermediate spreadsheet application knowledge, Excel preferred
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines and prioritize workload
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to interact with staff in a professional manner
