Job Description

AccessNurse in Knoxville, TN has an immediate opening for an Accounting Assistant! 

This is a Remote position with potential to come into the office on occasion.

JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

The Accounting Assistant will provide support for management objectives as set by the leadership team.  Primary responsibilities will be to provide support to the VP of Finance with month-end billing, accounts receivable follow-up and payroll.  This position reports to VP of Finance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Processing of month-end call activity for client billing, utilizing Excel and Lawson. Create and distribute invoice support schedules.
  • Accounts Receivable. Prepare A/R aging report, follow-up with clients on past due invoices, and correct payment posting errors.
  • Assist with the bi-weekly Payroll process. Correct time clock punches, input PTO hours, add manual entries and all other required pay amounts or adjustments.  Manage payroll email.
  • Coordinates, arranges, and performs special projects or services as directed and needed.
  • Maintains personal adherence to professional confidentiality standards established within TeamHealth and in accordance with legal, ethical, and client policies.

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Organizational Management preferred.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in an administrative capacity or finance support role preferred
  • Strong work ethic
  • Excellent organizational skills with the strong ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written, with an emphasis in grammar);
  • Excellent computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, database management)
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion;
  • Ability to handle multiple, complex priorities with minimal supervision;
  • Professional demeanor and presentation
