Overview
The Senior Operations Project Manager oversees multiple high priority projects for the Chief Medical Informatics Officer and manages all phases of the project life cycle. The role also evaluates organizational needs, recommends implementation strategies, and supports the adoption of effective work practices across the organization.
The Senior Operations Project Manager owns the project portfolio, builds strong relationships with clinical and operational stakeholders, and ensures consistent, transparent communication. The individual proactively manages scope, maintains momentum, and keeps stakeholders informed. The role identifies process improvement opportunities, translates complex technical concepts for varied audiences, and aligns CMIO initiatives with broader organizational goals. The individual is recognized for delivering complex, high impact work with strong stakeholder support.

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects and operational responsibilities with limited supervision, ensuring timely monitoring, communication, and status reporting
- Lead projects from initial concept through completion, including goal definition, planning, scheduling, progress tracking, and release validation
- Evaluate project performance using appropriate tools to identify variances, implement corrective actions, and communicate outcomes to stakeholders
- Maintain accuracy of project plans by managing scope and schedule changes through established verification processes
- Oversee stakeholder engagement, including requirements elicitation, prioritization, clarification, and, when necessary, facilitation of stakeholder review and approval of technical solution requirements
- Collaborate with or without a business analyst to define analytics requirements, assess solution options, and ensure deliverables meet documented needs
- Develop proficiency in TeamHealth’s proprietary and enterprise systems and support enhancements to existing platforms as well as the implementation of new systems
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, organizational management, or related field, or equivalent experience. MHA/MBA preferred but not required
- Three to five years of project management experience preferred; PMP certification preferred but not required
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, diagramming applications, collaborative technologies, and Smartsheet or willingness to learn
- Experienced working with technical teams
- Strong verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex processes
