JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:
The Senior Vice President of Operations is responsible for the daily oversight and strategic business planning and development for D&Y, a TeamHealth business unit.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and implements a strategic business plan identifying both short-range and long-range goals, ensuring that the business needs are met and growth options are considered, resourced, and implemented.
 - Reports to the President of Spectrum and Ambulatory Care at TeamHealth, providing relevant information necessary to keep the President apprised of the operational performance of D&Y.
 - Develops and implements policies pertinent to the daily operations of the business unit, including but not limited to: Physician relations (e.g., contracting, compensation, benefits, etc.), client relations, budgeting, fiscal oversight, growth, etc.
 - Provides proactive leadership to anticipate the current and ongoing managerial and functional needs of D&Y.
 - Works closely with other TeamHealth service line leaders to provide quality physician services as needed.
 - Creates and maintains a succession plan identifying clearly who the key successors are and the need for career development.
 - Participates at an executive leadership level in mergers and acquisitions for the business unit.
 - Responsible for overall EBITDA goals and budgetary compliance.
 - Performs other duties as assigned.
