JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

The Senior APC Relations Specialist establishes and maintains proactive relationships with Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) programs and students to build a strong pipeline of candidates for TeamHealth’s Emergency Medicine (EM), Hospital Medicine (HM), and Post-Acute Care (PAC) service lines. This position strategically targets EM and HM APC Fellowship Programs, as well as Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Physician Assistant (PA) student programs, to drive early engagement and awareness of TeamHealth career opportunities. The Senior APC Relations Specialist is responsible for planning and executing high-quality engagement events, cultivating long-term program partnerships, and directly contributing to APC hiring outcomes.

Focused on sourcing and candidate engagement, the Senior APC Relations Specialist identifies and connects with high-potential APC candidates, increases awareness of TeamHealth opportunities, and facilitates placements in collaboration with recruiting partners. Serving as a primary point of contact for APC programs, this position delivers tailored presentations, manages ongoing outreach, and supports the successful conversion of candidate interest into hires.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify, source, and engage APC candidates, programs, and fellowships across EM, HM, and PAC service lines. (~41 EM/HM APC fellowship programs and 33 focus states for NP/PA student programs for PAC).

• Build and maintain relationships with APC programs, faculty, and students to increase awareness of TeamHealth opportunities.

• Facilitate candidate engagement through program outreach, wellness events, and one-on-one discussions. Execute an estimated minimum of 20–25 engagement events in year one, with pacing determined by program interest and regional demand.

• Participate in 2–3 national or regional APC tradeshows or career fairs to expand visibility and build program partnerships. Plan and execute NP/PA student events in conjunction with large tradeshows.

• Candidate Referrals: Generate and manage a pipeline of a minimum of 150–200 engaged APC candidates across EM, HM, and PAC service lines.

• Facilitate a minimum of 50+ contributed hires during the first year through sourcing, engagement, and collaboration with recruiting partners.

• In partnership with the Recruitment Team and the APC Council, execute events, workshops, or presentations based on program interest and candidate engagement levels, adjusting frequency as appropriate.

• Partner with Marketing to develop and deliver APC-focused messaging and collateral to support awareness and engagement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

• 3–5+ years of experience in physician recruitment, residency relations, marketing, or event management.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to engage residents, physicians, and leadership effectively.

• Strong strategic thinking, planning, and analytical skills; ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.

• High energy, self-starter, and results-driven mindset.

• This position requires frequent travel, requiring flexibility and agility dependent upon business demand.
