Job Description Overview:
This position is responsible for leading the financial operations function for HSSG (OB/GYN, Acute Care Surgery and Orthopedic Hospitalists) including contract revenue, accounts receivables and invoicing and works with regional and corporate financial and operational leadership to develop strategic reporting required to effectively communicate financial performance to regional, NSC senior and executive leadership. A partnership with business development and operations is required to financially model prospective business opportunities. Ability to build teams and foster strong connections with non-financial leaders is essential to assuming the role of a financial liaison. Duties further encompass administration of the financial requirements of contractual agreements related to multiple service lines within the region (OB/GYN Hospitalist, Acute Care Surgery and Orthopedic Hospitalist) process improvement, management of budget/projection cycles, accurate and timely generation of required financial data, and special projects. This role is also responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial summaries for system close.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works closely with leadership to ensure timely preparation, analysis, support, and dissemination of financial information relating to:
- Proformas (Existing and Business Development)
- Projections
- Budgeting
- QBR (Quarterly Business Review) reporting
- MOR (Monthly Operating Review) reporting
- Other cycles requiring financial administration such as facility contract annual resets and contract renewals
- Regular communication and problem resolution with operations and leadership teams
- Conducts analysis and interprets statistical and accounting information to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization
- Oversee Rate Change Analysis process for reviewing and approving compensation changes
- Review the monthly close process to ensure the completeness of data and understanding of financial results from a facility, system, service line and regional standpoint
- Manage and participate in special projects.
- Lead team meetings related to specific assigned tasks and initiatives outlining objectives, data requirements, concerns, timeline, and progress
- Join work groups and subcommittees to drive performance, engagement, and efficiency of process within the region
- Participate in process improvement initiatives which enhance financial and operational performance
- Assist Financial and Operational Leadership in the financial administration of assigned contracts
- Ensure that the accounting methodology applied is in accordance with accounting concepts, techniques, principles, and GAAP.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions
