QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:Required:
- Experience supporting state medical licensure processes or medical staff credentialing.
- Strong understanding of state medical board regulations, terminology, and application/ verification requirements.
- Experience with licensure-related platforms such as FCVS, state medical board portals, or IMLC.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex regulatory information.
- High accuracy, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Preferred:
- 2–3+ years of direct experience in physician licensing, credentialing, or medical staff services.
- Certification such as CPCS or CPMSM.
- Experience creating training materials, guides, or educational content.
- Experience working in a healthcare operations, onboarding, or compliance environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Licensure Guidance & Support
- Serve as a point of contact for clinicians and administrative associates who have questions related to processes of obtaining new state medical licenses or DEAs.
- Explain state-specific requirements, timelines, documentation needs, fees, and verification steps clearly and accurately.
- Provide supportive, knowledgeable guidance without completing applications on behalf of clinicians.
- Maintain current and deep knowledge of licensing policies, requirements, and regulatory changes across all U.S. state medical boards.
- Maintains high level monthly documentation regarding types and number of contacts w/ specific clinicians by group and type, number of contacts w/ specific administrative assistance, presentations/educational training completed via new staff orientations, hot topics, department meetings, Town Halls, etc.
Education & Resource Development
- Develop, update, and distribute educational materials to stakeholders such as step-by-step guides, FAQs, checklists, visual workflows, and state-by-state summaries.
- Create communication tools that simplify complex licensing regulations into user-friendly formats.
- Deliver or coordinate informational sessions, education, or learning opportunities related to the licensing process.
- Maintain a resource library ensuring all materials are accurate, aligned, and easy to access.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with internal teams to maintain clear and consistent messaging.
- Incorporate stakeholder feedback into updated guidance materials, workflows, and communication tools.
Process Coordination & Tracking
- Monitor changes in medical board rules, licensure requirements, deadlines, and regulatory updates.
- Track clinician inquiries and identify patterns requiring updated resources or education.
- Maintain organized documentation and resource sets used by clinicians and internal stakeholders.
- Support alignment between licensure timelines and broader onboarding or credentialing workflows and timelines.
Customer Service & Relationship Management
- Provide clear, timely, and supportive communication to clinicians.
- Uphold professionalism, empathy, and excellent service in all clinician interactions.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- May function as a backup or resource SME within Operations Support
- Other duties as designed or assigned
