The Immigration Specialist is responsible for the intake of all immigration candidates and coordination of information and timelines between Recruiting, Contracting, Immigration Legal Counsel, Internal Legal Counsel, the Clinician and other applicable stakeholders. The responsibilities also include updating and maintaining documents and data consistent with the guidance of Immigration Legal Counsel.

JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:
The Immigration Specialist is responsible for the intake of all immigration candidates and coordination of information and timelines between Recruiting, Contracting, Immigration Legal Counsel, Internal Legal Counsel, the Clinician and other applicable stakeholders. The responsibilities also include updating and maintaining documents and data consistent with the guidance of Immigration Legal Counsel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates the sponsorship of new immigration Clinicians and maintenance of the immigration status of active Clinicians via standardized process.
- Enters, maintains and tracks all data related to Clinician immigration status in designated system(s).
- Responsible for notifying all necessary stakeholders of key milestones in the immigration process for each Clinician.
- Coordinates the completion and dissemination of documentation including but not limited to the initial handoff of a new visa candidate to Immigration Counsel and all required forms and extensions required by Company and Immigration Counsel throughout the life of a sponsored Clinician’s contract and thereafter as required by USCIS.
- Maintains a centralized listing of all Immigration Clinicians including those in process, active and terminated.
- Responsible for the assembly/dissemination and maintenance of the Public Access File.
- Coordinates/generates encounter reports and other reports related to the maintenance of a Clinician’s immigration file.
- Maintains all document/form templates including, but not limited to, letters, intake forms and Company letterhead utilized for the sponsorship application and maintenance processes.
- Consults Immigration Legal Counsel and Internal Legal Counsel for decisions and recommendations.
- Maintains a current working knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for the immigration sponsorship process.
- Other related duties as requested from time to time.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel.
- Ability to work as a member of a team.
- Must be detail oriented and results oriented.
- Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, recruiters, legal counsel and administrative personnel.
- Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Associates Degree. Bachelors Degree Preferred.
- Minimum five years of full-time experience in a legal environment preferably in healthcare or immigration processing.
