POSITION SUMMARY:

Patient Engagement Representatives (PX Representative) support the company by managing correspondence, inquiries, and complaints. The Patient Engagement Representative coordinates written communications between customers, agents, vendors, and clinicians by performing administrative duties, special projects, and general tasks as assigned. Expect to be asked to problem-solve by reading and interpreting correspondence and then updating databases to assure proper next steps occur. The PX Representative understands and empathizes with customer concerns and has a desire to help customers resolve their issues. Excellent computer and organization skills and attention to detail are key to succeeding in this role. The company offers its Patient Engagement Representatives training and professional development.

In the company’s dynamic environment the PX Representatives work on a team to assure all correspondence is scanned into the company’s imaging system in order to allow the team to work remotely. PX Representatives may also print itemized bills and insurance claims, update insurance information into the clients’ web portals, and perform background research along with other duties. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Document customer inquiries, disputes, complaints or requests within various systems
  2. Review account records, files and documents to obtain information necessary to resolve and respond to inquiries, disputes, complaints or requests
  3. Communicate with clients and customers as necessary
  4. Learn and apply applicable federal, state, local laws, regulations and guidelines
  5. Handle, analyze and process correspondence
  6. Data entry with an emphasis on speed and accuracy
  7. Coordinate with team members to accomplish daily tasks

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Skills
  1. Fast and accurate data entry skills.

  3. Effective problem-solving skills.
  4. Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  5. Able to perform duties independently without direct supervision.
  6. Proficient with MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
  7. Strong interpersonal skills.
  8. Self-aware, dependable, accountable.
Education
  1. Minimum High School diploma, or equivalent
Experience 6+ months experience working in an office environment preferred for the PX Representative I and 1-3 years of experience is required for the PX Representative II role
